We opens doors for young leaders to engage in impactful international conferences, inspiring them to drive meaningful change worldwide.
In our program, we select outstanding members and sponsor them with full or partial support, conference spots, or scholarships to attend prestigious international forums. Through these opportunities, young leaders gain invaluable exposure to global perspectives, engage with experts, and deepen their understanding of critical global issues, empowering them to bring impactful insights back to their communities.
Sustainable Development and Climate Action
Tzu Chi has long been dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability, exemplified by initiatives such as Da Ai Tecnology, which transforms recycled materials into useful products. We actively participate in global forums addressing these critical issues and provide opportunities for program delegates to engage in these significant events, fostering their growth and commitment to creating a sustainable future.
Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD)
APFSD is an annual intergovernmental forum supporting the review of progress on the 2030 Agenda and SDGs at the regional level. In 2024, the Forum emphasized integrating sustainable development into education programs. High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development(HLPF)
HLPF is the UN’s central platform for reviewing the 2030 Agenda and SDGs. In 2024, it focused on SDG 1, 2, 13, 16, and 17. Both in 2023 and 2024, we offered opportunities for our members to attend. NYC Climate Week
An annual event uniting leaders across sectors to drive climate action under the shared message: It’s Time. Featuring flagship sessions, breakouts, side events, and roundtables, it’s a hub for impactful dialogue. Climate Change Conference
COP28provided a platform for innovative solutions, emphasizing the critical role of the private sector in addressing climate challenges. In 2023, we proudly offered our participants the opportunity to attend in person. Among them, Natalie from the 2023 cohort represented Tzu Chi at COP28 in the UAE, joining the team in showcasing our commitment to sustainability and climate action. Click to view related post.
World Food Forum(WFF)
WFF organized by the FAO, gathers global youth leaders, policymakers, and experts to address food security and sustainable agriculture. In 2023, we offered our participants the opportunity to attend this impactful event in person. Our core team member, Jia Yee, and 2023 cohort member, Nathasha, represented us at the 2023 WFF forum.
Youth Leadership and Social Engagement
Tzu Chi International Youth Association(TIYA) Annual Event
TIYA has prepared a full day of enriching activities for youth participants, including interactive exhibitions, engaging presentations, expert-led seminars, and hands-on workshops focused on sustainability. On the left, Huey Yi and Peggy, alumni from last year’s annual gathering, showcase the spirit of collaboration and engagement fostered by the event. In 2024, we are proud to fully sponsor outstanding delegates to join us in Taiwan for this inspiring event. Marking its third year, this annual gathering continues to provide a platform for young leaders from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, collaborate, and create meaningful change in their communities and beyond. Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)
CSW is a United Nations body dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment globally. Each year, it gathers representatives from member states, UN entities, and NGOs to discuss key issues affecting women and girls.
